  180. Flat screen PCs and lap tops may require the MONO parameter to
  181. operate properly.

  183. The Export parameter is used when sending recipes to an ASCII
  184. file.  The output is formatted such that the text file can be
  185. imported into a Recipe Box Database using the CONVERT.EXE
  186. utility.

  190.                          Getting Started
  191. ----------------------------------------------------------------

  194. Recipe Box is menu driven with an on-line subject sensitive help
  195. system. Press F1 or <Alt H> at any time to activate the pop-up
  196. window with help information.
  197.  
  198. Choose Quick Guide from the Main Menu (M,Q) to bring up a list of
  199. Quick Guide selections. You can read about different features, as
  200. well as learn short cuts.
  201.  
  202. Hold down the Alt key for several seconds to activate a pop-up
  203. window displaying a list of Hot Keys. These features are
  204. available at any time by pressing either the Alt key and the
  205. appropriate letter or the correct Function Key :
  206.  
  207.     Alt H : Help                          [F1]
  208.     Alt N : Note Pad                      [F2]
  209.     Alt S : Save & Continue               [F3]
  210.     Alt X : Save & Exit to DOS            [F4]
  211.     Alt T : Tag List (Display)            [F5]

  213.       ESC : I am done with this ...       [F10]

  215. The ESC key and F10 have the same effect. It will let you
  216. escape from where you are and return to where you were.
  217. Hitting the ESC key enough times will return to the top
  218. level Main Menu.

  221. WARNING : You should never exit Recipe Box by turning off the
  222.           power. This could corrupt your data files.

  226.                          Using the Mouse
  227. ----------------------------------------------------------------
  228.  
  229. Recipe Box will automatically detect whether or not a mouse is
  230. active.  If detected, a mouse character will appear on your
  231. screen.
  232.  
  233. The mouse is set up to respond to a single button click or drag.
  234. Both buttons on a 2 button mouse will respond in the same manner.
  235.  
  236. You can scroll through a list (or text) by dragging the upper or
  237. lower potion of the pop up window.  For example, select one of
  238. the topics from the TidBits menu.  Move the mouse pointer to the
  239. lower portion of the window and depress the mouse button.  The
  240. screen will scroll downward until the end of text is reached.
  241. Move the move pointer toward the top of the window to scroll
  242. toward the beginning of the text.
  243.  
  244. To close the current window, move the pointer outside the window
  245. boundary and click the mouse.
  246.  
  247. To select a menu item, click once to highlight and again to
  248. activate.  A single click outside the current window will close
  249. the window (has the same affect as pressing the ESC key).

  257. Recipe Box "manuals" are fully self contained within the program.
  258. There are 3 methods to aid you in learning all the features :

  261.                  displays "What do I do now" information.

  263.    On-Line Help  Press <Alt H> or F1 at any time to receive
  264.                  additional subject sensitive help.

  266.    Quick Guide   Select Misc Stuff, Quick Guide (M,Q) to learn
  267.                  detail information on using various features.

  269. Select "Hard Copy of Quick Guide" from the list of Quick Guide
  270. topics to obtain a Hard Copy of the text.

  272. An ASCII file equivalent of the Help Text is available to

  305. Sunrise Software has made available a special licensing
  306. arrangement for Recipe Box Version 2.
  307.  
  308. Sunrise Software will issue a Special Application License (SAL)
  309. for Recipe Box. The theme is to promote the use of our software
  310. with a special set of recipes (a Cookbook).
  311.  
  312. All features and functions are active in the SAL diskette as in
  313. the Registered License version.  If the holder uses Recipe Box
  314. for adding in more recipes or cookbooks, then the holder is
  315. required to obtain (purchase) a registered license.
  316.  
  317. An example of the SAL would be an organization publishing a
  318. cookbook of 100 recipes plus offering a Recipe Box diskette with
  319. the same 100 recipes. A person obtaining the SAL diskette would
  320. have all the features of Recipe Box available to them.
  321.  
  322. If the holder of the SAL diskette becomes a registered user they
  323. will receive the free utilities plus the 115 recipes distributed
  324. with the Shareware version.

  326. Sunrise Software will work with the organization to provide any
  327. desired customizing, such as:

  329.   - Each recipe can be protected to prevent alteration
  330.     or removal from database.

  332.   - TidBits topics can be modified to provide specified
